Our take
This 40lb set packs a lot of versatility. The star-lock collars with PVC rings hold plates securely—no annoying loosening mid-workout. I love that it converts to a kettlebell; the connecting rod and handle are clever for swings and goblet squats. The 25mm handle is comfortable even during long sessions, and the light knurling gives enough texture without tearing up my hands. Downside: the plates are plastic-coated, which feels a bit less durable than all-rubber. Also, the weight range jumps from 3lb plates to 5lb, so fine-tuning is tricky. For $69, it's a great entry-level choice for someone who wants both dumbbells and kettlebells in one package.
